Reprinting History

A heartfelt thanks goes out to our friends at the Columbia Daily Herald and reporter Mike Christen for the nice piece that ran in today’s edition. Mike did a fine job of covering our grand opening event on Friday night and the story of what we are doing to help preserve our town’s history. You can read the full story here.

That is what really excites me. In every one of these shots, there is a story. With everyone one of these photographs we to do a bit of research. It’s all history. – David White

We would also like to thank all the people that came by for the opening event. Wonderful turn out, great conversations and delicious food by our good friend Angie Gail. So many of you were asking about who prepared the delightful seared tuna, beef tenderloin, pesto bruschetta and, of course, the dark chocolate ganache cake! Well, it was Mrs. Angela Costa who runs one of our favorite restaurants, Angie Gail’s.

The drawing for a print of your choice was done on Saturday morning and the winner was Ryan Lowe (who just bought a house here) who chose “Mr. Johnson’s Mules”. Great choice Ryan! For those of you that did not win, you might want to know the most popular print was “Courthouse Under Construction” followed closely by “Mule Day Returns”.

If you didn’t make it by for the event you can still see the show on Fridays & Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. However, we probably won’t serve you wine, champagne and cake… then again, we might.
