We are celebrating a mini milestone. There are now more than 2000 photos available for view on the gallery website. That’s a pretty big number, but it’s a mini milestone because we have scanned more than 5000 and that means we still have a lot of work to do. However, since we have over a million negatives that still need to be scanned and uploaded… well, now I am just tired thinking about that. So, instead we’ll take a moment and cheer for 2000. Perhaps a cup of coffee is in order (we’ll save the champagne for 10k).
The real winner here? Yes, it’s you. Can you view 2000 photos? The answer again is, yes you can. We have added more categories and have added photos to existing albums. If you think you have seen them all… you haven’t. In fact by the time you finish reading this post we’ll have added even more photos.
As always we invite you to come by and see us and our photos like the feature image from this post. This image that we call, Hit ’em First, is of Columbia’s 109th Cavalry c. 1939. It’s a fun shot that shows the company insignia (which is where we got the title) and some really big guns too. This photo is one of many that we have in the Orman Collection and you can see them on our website, along with… that’s right… over 2000 others.
